Last night i prayed for quite a bit. Even though life’s really going great in here in Melbourne, sometimes i just can’t but worry about my folks in Singapore. Yes i know, they’re adults already, whats there to worry about right. Well, all i can really do is pray for them and my extended family plus friends
Here in melbourne, things have been nothing short of fantastic so far. Tmr will be D-day, where i probably take the most hideous picture of my life for my student card, collect my OSCH card, get the Caval card and pick my modules and sort out the timetable! Yikes..
Okay i know i promised 3 updates (and by now many many more ), so i shall just start with the beanbag one! Basically, sfee n i decided that it was time to fill up our beanbag, and that we did! Just that after we filled it, heaps and heaps of beans were all over our floor..

Then we had no vacuum cleaner. So we went to sfee’s friends place to get one, and we walked all the way home on the main street with it. Boy was that some experience. Imagine carrying a vacuum cleaner in the main orchard road from Plaza Sing to Liat. And it was pretty heavy to we had to carry it siamese twins style. We tried to ignore whatever stares we got.
Vacuuming never felt so great before!
The city library which is seriouslyyyy just behind our house (can throw stone) is pretty good, we can borrow up to 30 items and their dvd collection is not bad! Sfee managed to get her hands on several Little Britain Series and some other decent movies. I managed to borrow Marry Poppins and have read 45 pages into Norwegian Wood. The library just might be my favourite haunt, seeing as i love their quaint journal cafe as well.
Last night, we caught our first movie in Melb. We really x10 wanted to catch Dark Knight, but it was sold out. Boohoo, so Get Smart it was. Hilarious albeit slapstick but it was a good laugh in all. We joked about how we actually paid Aus 10 to watch a movie, which is about 13 bucks in singapore. And that could have bought us a pair of tickets in Lido. But owells, if we had to compare the prices of every thing here with Singapore we might probably just pull our hair out and die of bitterness.
After buying 2 more pairs of shoes and a cream coloured jacket (or black), i promise to stop shopping. I’m feeling pretty broke already its not funny man.
Anyway, if things go as planned (crosses fingers), i just might be living in a new abode when (or if) i graduate in 2010 in Singapore. And I’ll be 23 by then. How scarily grown up does that sound.
I was reading my bestestgirlfriend’s blog and she seems to be really having a ball of a time in Europe! Exciting stuff man. I cannot wait to see pictures!!!
