I seriously cannot get enough of it. My happy food, sad food and best companion when i’m feeling cranky. I read the ‘nutritional’ content, and found out that the sugar intake for the bar is 30% of what i need for my daily intake. HAHAHA OHWELLS. I’m so gonna be rolling out of changi airport man. And ever since the very very very evil SFEE bought tim tams, i seem to be having more and more of it too. 

Today, on the way home from dinner, i found out that it is actually possible to buy something in melb for one buck. yes you heard me right, one buck. and that is…

UHUH UHUH! Mac’s Granny Smith Apple Pie

I have to say, i’m not much of a fast food junkie, i havent eaten kfc for 3 years and am very proud of it. Nor do i have much fast food cravings, maybe its cos we get incredibly great food at home, but i love the Mac’s Apple Pie! AND ONE DOLLAR! I don’t know if it was on offer or what cos i went quite late. But pls, even a kriskreme donut cos over 2 buckaroos! :)

This week hasn’t been the best for me. i’ve got my P and am feeling grumpy, tired and i just wish my school assignments would miraculously work on its own. Aye what i would give to just buy my cert. haha kiddin (or maybe not).

It’s just so sian to do work when your body feels funny and you constantly crave for food like some pregs woman. Speaking of which, i NEED to get my weighing machine this weekend. Buay tahan already.

SPRING IS COMING Y’ALL!!!

I went to school today in a tank + tee + scarf +tights and my ridiculously thin cotton on cardi and i actually felt damn warm!!!!!! WOOOTS!! Very excited about this new season!

Anyways my crazily long day at school kinda ended with a pretty happy note cos i got 2 postcards from the bestie!! It def did put a smile on my face

I miss talking to you hun and if you’re reading this, i wish i was there with you too!!! I was looking back on our HK pictures and the song ‘the way I are’ will never cease to make me laugh as we danced (or u anyway) in an empty club.

I think old age is catching up with me. my left knee is so painful and stiff! Man i must be hit with Rheumatism. But cannot be! I’m only 21 how can my joints start to hurt already :(:(:(

This week has been a pretty intense one. sfee thought i was pretty uptight on mon/tues, not my norm self.. i figured its cos i really hate weds and once that was over, i went for a mini shopping/waxing session which really brightened up my day.

Anyways, i think il semi start on researching for one of my essays tmr, really cannot be so last minute. whoever’s going, cya at eve tmr y’all!

ps, i dont know if you can tell, but i’ve been pretty bleahh about blogging recently. I’d rather spend my extra time out of school; fudging, cooking and going out!

Just like that, the weekend has uncharacteristically disappeared again! owhy owhy so fast! Williamstown was pretty amazing, if you haven’t seen already, there is a crazy amount of albums on facebook. haha just trying to save each and everyone of them is pretty tedious. But i will get down to it.

Monday will be spent hopefully doing some readings, and i’ve been thinking about those jeans, so maybe i might just get it! Although that would leave me with a sad amount of money to play with for the rest of the week. sigh. money money money, its just not funny

On a brighter note, MS CHUA turns a grand TWENTEEN! Isn’t that just awesome! Its really great that you are here in melb babe. And living not too far too Sometimes, it still feels pretty surreal.

Gelato on cold days?

Some asshole borrowed 10 CDs on my library card. i have NO IDEA how that happened but i sure did get a shock when i checked my loan status online and saw 13 instead of 3. Bloody hell. I shall rectify this on friday!

Anyway, i watched Dark Knight yesterday! And it really did not disappoint The joker was haunting and perversely hilarious. Heath did such an amazing job,  batman kinda paled in comparison. Don’t ya think? And whats up with Cristian’s uncomfortable husky voice.

Tomorrow is my last shit day, then i’m back to having some time on my own again! I really cannot wait to wake up late on friday! Waking up at 8am, can be a real bitch.

Mirror mirror on the wall

It took us a month before we decided it was time to get a full length mirror and a storage box to dump all our bags! Now i dont have to guess what i look like before i leave for school

Ah, the simple pleasures in life!

This past weekend has been a pretty packed one. Sfee’s right, our weekends seem to be pretty much an extended holiday of sorts. I think that’s why my money is disappearing so fast! haha

A brief wkend update:

Friday
Korean BBQ dinner along Russell Street. YUMS, the food was awesome, especially the spicyyy kimchi soup. Can’t say the same about the service though. I doubt we will be going back there again. We miscalculated the bill and put in fifty cents less than we ought to, the waiter chased us and screamed so loud, i thought we forgot to put in the 50 bucks or smth. Not to mention, i stank so badly of BBQ afterward.

It was RED VIOLIN after that. Some bar/lounge/club thingy along Bourke which had decent R&B music and pretty mean cowboy shots! (my new loveee!) Along the way we bumped into friends of friends of friends and the entourage grew as the night went by. Its crazy how you bump into more people here than in Singapore. 

Sfee’s friend, Amos and his girlfriend brought us to Greco’s at Chapel where we settled for a midnight snack of hot choc and sinfully fattening cheesecakes. 

Saturday
Met up with daniel tan, who is here on holiday. We bumped into grace, who was having her ‘gracie day’ and dragged her along with us to have lunch at the quarter followed by some window shopping and museum viewing.

The evening was spent at Tristan’s where i fell asleep for the first hour, cos i was unexplainably exhausted. Lots and lots of laughter ensued throughout the night. And we went to the DODGY BAR (as tris calls it) which actually wasn’t THAT dodgy, in my opinion. It was one of those karoke lounge where people could go up and sing whatever songs were on the list, and deafening clubbing music was played during the interval periods. It wasn’t called the dodgy bar (for obvious reasons), but i can’t rem the name of it now! 

After drinking over 4-5 bottles of Carona, i’ve decided that i don’t like it very much. Too gasy for my liking! We were lucky to have Tim and Johannes to walk us home which was en-route to their residence.

Sunday
Went to church in the morning, while Miss Sfee went to Camberwell again! haha. I met up with Sam, Frannie & Donna after the service and we made our way to ikea/kmart at Richmond. I think if i ever drove in Melb, i would really need one of those snazzy GPS donna has in her car. There, i picked up a spatula, beer bottle opener and a HUGE storage box. The box was so big, it had to stick a “no babies to be placed inside” sign on the top. 

For lunch, it was swedish meatballs and baked potatoes over a pretty hearty conversation, it’s nice to know that everyone is settling pretty well in Melb. 

Sfee and i were too lazy to cook dinner, so KIMCHI TRAY it was (again). I don’t think i could ever ever get sick of the food there. I’ve tried practically everything on their soup menu.

Alrighto, that was my weekend for ya, now its back to the (yawn) boring school week.

I. HAVE. TO. WATCH. THE. DARK. KNIGHT.

Tomorrow is my only chance, cos its the cheap ticket day! Wish me luck in getting tickets!

i love fridays

I have this acute pain on my left shoulder blade. This must be the feeling of an aging woman. Anyone know of a cheap and good masseuse in Melb?

August is here, a brand new start to the month! (which means bills bills bills) And guess what, i’ve been here for one whole month already! Sfee n i wanted to celebrate last night, by popping the 2 remaining bottles of carona, UNFORTUNATELY, our shitty beer opener refused to work its magic, and we were resigned to the fact that, until another beer bottle opener comes along, its no beer guzzling at home

I woke up around 1230, to the phone call of my papa, he being quite irritated that i have not seen the light yet.(quite literally, in this instance). “1230 still not awake yet! what are u doing in melbourne, studying not?? blah blah blah”. I had to remind him that today is my free day, and for the past 3 days i’ve been waking up at ungodly hours of 730-8am. 

Boy was it good to wake up late today. I was just checking my schedule, i think i might be able to head bk to singapura around the 20-24th of nov. Seeing as i have no exams (but a crazy amount of essays), most of my deadlines would be affirmed on the 2nd wk of nov. 

I still don’t feel homesick as yet. Most say it will hit on the 3-4th month. So hopefully my mum could come for a wk or 2 in sept. I miss her so much that i’m admitting this on a public domain. i. do. not. miss. her. nagging. though. 

Aye, its time for miss piggy to take her nap before starting out on the onerous task of her sieving through her readings.

PS, manda is convinced I’m gonna be so fat when i go home, she simply won’t be able to recognize me. So mean right.
