24 degrees in sg now

I kid you not. I actually brought a jacket out today cos i felt quite cold!! Hopefully the weather remains like this for awhile. I LIKE! 

My past week consisted of trying to catch up with several people (army boys jj and shaun, ij girls, and the girlies).. Wowee donna’s 21st was a good time for me to meet some ij classmates whom i’ve not seen since o’levels! Some la, most i still try to catch up with. But it was fun man, filled with lots of laughter, GOSSIP TO THE MAX and reminiscing. Hope to see you girls real soon!

Saturday did not go very well. Manda and I decided to check out CHUNKFEST which was ben and jerry’s first ice cream festival in sg. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE FESTIVAL SUCKED. 

• bad weather (cannot control, fine)
• muddy, slippery and damn damn warm (cannot ctrl, fine)
• bad organisation (only one ice cream booth WITH A SUPER LONG QUEUE. The kind of queue where you don’t see the end.)
• very bad music
• hot dog booths (seriously, we obviously went for an ice cream festival in hope to CHUNK DOWN heaps of hot dogs! good job good job) 

In the end, after spending about 10 mins at fort canning, we walked over to city hall for our b&j fix. We are smart people that way. Why would you want to queue for at least an hour to buy ice cream at the same price, which would probably start melting on your first lick, when you can eat in the comfort on an aircon and non mudfested place? Beats me man, beats me. 

Sunday, i fell sick. Woke up at 6am with a sorethroat, cough and slight flu. Damn bad mood la, but i held it in and sent my dad to the airport. I decided on a quick and quiet brekkie at coffee bean term 2. Horrid breakfast, what waste of my money. Is it me or are their scrambled eggs an unnaturally light shade of yellow? Isit real eggs?? I felt uncomfortable while swallowing them. Then i envisioned a diarrhea waiting to happen, and could eat no more. Drove home, took the wrong exit and ended up taking a longer route home. Thank goodness no stomachache. hahaha.

Slept for a bit, then church followed by lunch date at maxwell with jj+grace and her family.
Stupid grace made me so embarrassed. When i was approaching her at the table, i presumed the old lady sitting with her was her grandma, so i said ‘HI AUNTY’ damn loud. After giggling for a bit, grace told me, uh no we dont know her. Ayoh so malu. The old lady happened to be a matchmaker btw, who was offering us (probably must pay) matchmaking services. Still got such thing meh, so old-school!! Night time was the ijgirls meet up and then dessert @ dempsey with shaun! I didnt get lost and found my way from thomson to dempsey in 15mins. Not bad right, although i did go a long way, cos i’m horrid at shortcuts. Good catchup la, he was telling me ghost stories while we were walking the dark roads of dempsey and convo mostly centered around army+aussie life. I’m such a kuku brain, i realised that i didn’t lock my door when i was going to drive home. Sigh, thank god i was not punished for it. 

BORDERS BOOK FAIR TODAY WAS FANTASTIC. If you didn’t go, well its too late now! Your loss

Cheap and new books. I met eva, reet and harmeek at around 1230 and we shopped around for pretty good deals, under surprisingly non-crowded conditions. I think the heavy rain deterred many from all the way to expo. We also made an insider joke about the lack of people at the expo. Hurhur, but i concluded that reet’s joke was invalid because

I’m going to knock myself out soon, with some good ol’ medication.

I saw drea for a bit yesterday! haha it made me beriberi happy too darling, even though it was for a measly 10mins. Hopefully i contributed to time passing faster a wee bit.

Its a bit strange, the construction works doesn’t seem to be at its full force today, i actually managed to sleep in for longer .

Anyways, yesterday was a pretty funny day. Did i mention i contribute way too much to our economy? Yes, i do. So, i gave manda a call complaining how im nearly dying with the noise in my house, didnt help that the part time helper was around vacuuming and making my head spin, so she asked if i wanted to follow her and fran to expo.

I didnt think there was much to do at expo, but i went anyway, cos i’d rather be out with company than suffer a massive headache at home. Turns out, while they were collecting their marathon bag, there was a john little sale at the next hall!!!! I didnt buy anything for myself la, a bit aunty their things. However their collection of toys was pretty good, and i seriously bought a shitload of stuff. Enough for an orphanage i might add. Well at least i can cancel out all the kids of my xmas list!!

Currently, i have no job, but am spending money as if i’m earning. Sigh. BUTBUTBUTBUT shopping for others (who matter) is way fun!

construction woes

I can feel the vibrations in my room when the construction workers start the piling/drilling/digging the new site outside my house. Can die lah. It starts at 9am and it is SO LOUD, i am quite certain you can wake the dead with the racket they cause. Its not their fault, but i couldnt tahan anymore today, so i call the company up to ask them how long they would take, and the lady on the other end muttered quite apologetically, ‘by the end of this week’. 

 

OHMYTIAN. IM GOING TO DIE. HOW TO SLEEP LIKE THIS?????????

 

I’m in a forgiving mood though, cos the weather is absolutely great today, and i’m just lazing my fatass on my bed watching pretty good kdramas. Jas when u come back, i shall intro you to a few good ones i’ve watched

 

I NEED TO GET A PT JOB. My acct is depleting and i can’t seem to stop it.
