hi there,

Since coming back from sg, my days in melb has been very fruitful, evident in the fact that my bags are still unpacked!!

  • late night wimbledon watching
  • much needed grocery shopping and surprisingly nice chinese lunch at south melbourne with Markymark
  • mart 130 for brekkie
  • kopi kopi and more glorious kopi
  • random daytrip to toorak and chapel st with sfee (i love love chapel, but i’ve got no moolah to shop!)
  • really awesome thai food at lygon+chapel
  • catchup with gracie, gossiped and cooked some (imu very much)
  • lovely homely cooked chicken rice dinner courtesy of fran’s mummy
  • ikea with faye and sfee, where the mattresses were too soft, and out of stock anyways
  • catchup sess with sam+fran (whom i’ve missed very much!)+her man of interest (haha) at cervo, crown

The above marks a relative chronology of the happenings since i landed on tues! Seeing as next sem is surely going to kill me and slowly swallow me whole, this holiday HAS to be a well spent one, i absolutely refuse to waste the holidays away. Well, except for some quality sleeping, streaming and reading time, which does not count as time wastage.

I also refuse to fall sick. Cannottttttttttttt. This bad throat of mine shall go away asap, i need to be healthy to enjoy my hols!

Okies, today i’ve learnt of a few places from various people which i have to check out this holiday!

CLUB RETRO along lonsdale i think. I’ve not heard of it but hearing sam endlessly rave about it got me excited to check it out!!
Essential Ingredients- haha this one is supposedly a cooks/bakers’ haven at Phahran. Cookware, cookbooks, you name it they have it!
Footscray- Just cos i havent been, and i’ve heard that they have awesome pho and random $1 shops which sell everything and anything. Wanna go? ( In the day of cos!) Oh and you know, Footscray is home to the Lonely Planet Pub headquarters, quite cool eh!
Brother Baba Budan- Little bourke, i heard its great coffee and brekkie!
Second hand book shops- Any one really. I used to dislike reading old books, but i’m slowly finding the smell of old books quite interesting.

I’ve got plenty plenty more things i wanna do, like shop at chapel, harbourtown at docklands, flea markets, mag nation etc, if money permits!! sigh. Anyways, the papa is coming up for work next wk, but he’s coming a couple of days earlier to spend some time here (with me, im guessing). I think l’m looking forward to that. I think. haha, i kinda had parental overload when i was back in sg, haven’t fully recovered yet.

Alright, if my throat miraculously recovers later, i’m going out for nandos man, it’s only been 5 days and i’m already having immense cravings for my peri peri chips!

Laters alligators!

To an unpacked luggage and fresh sheets in XX hours,
lish

Delish

Has a new found appreciation for early mornings and a comforting cup of coffee.
